Steven Soenens

Steven Soenens is an experienced professional in product marketing, product management, and engineering of broadband and video solutions for broadcasters and cable, telco, satellite, and mobile service providers.

Currently, Soenens is responsible for product marketing of DataMiner with Skyline Communications. DataMiner is the leading multi-vendor network management and OSS system deployed by more than 1000 customers globally, including many tier-1 media, satellite, and service provider companies.

Previously, Soenens has taken responsibility for worldwide product strategy and product management for video, IP, and satellite solutions with Newtec, Scientific-Atlanta, and Cisco Systems.

His key areas of expertise include end-to-end management of multi-vendor media and broadband infrastructures including public and private cloud data centers (NFV); IP networks (SMPTE 2022 and 2110, SDN control) for broadcast contribution and exchange; (remote) production; studio and MCR operations; playout; distribution over cable DOCSIS; satellite DTH; and VSAT, telco DSL, FTTx, DTT, and OTT.
