Ken Adelson

PivottvMedia Advisors, Managing Partner and Executive Producer

Ken Adelson has a long history of successful network startups and building premier sports media brands. He was a leader in the history-making launch of NBA TV, the first sports league owned network that changed the way sports properties marketed and distributed their products. He also played a pivotal role in the NBA’s pioneering efforts in digital media, live event production, and content management.

Adelson was tasked to create the broadcast, digital media, and arena operations for the Oklahoma City Thunder from the ground up, in less than two months, when the team relocated from Seattle to Oklahoma City. He developed and was executive producer for live broadcasts of The Jockey Club on Fox, a horse racing series airing on Fox Sports 1, and Summer at Saratoga, produced for NBC Sports Network. Adelson started-up the America’s Best Racing website and digital marketing platforms.

Adelson also launched, oversaw, and was chief content officer / executive producer for the National Hot Rod Association’s in-house broadcasting, digital media, and OTT operations. He managed the transition from ESPN to Fox Sports and the start-up of NHRA All-Access. Adelson supervised production of the live event telecasts, and managed business operations, technology, and cross platform content integration.

Adelson currently serves as an industry advisor and managing partner of PivottvMedia. He works with established sports properties, content publishers, and start-up ventures as a consultant and executive producer, providing technology / revenue driven production and audience engagement solutions to help them thrive and prosper in an ever-changing new media landscape.
