Greg Coppa

Greg Coppa started at CBS in 1982 and has served mainly in roles with CBS Engineering. He began his CBS career as a project engineer designing broadcast systems. He joined the CBS Advanced Technology group in the early 90’s just as the deployment of HDTV began and served as director of engineering and advanced technology managing the CBS Lab. In May of this year, Coppa joined CBS Sports as vice president of sports technology where he is responsible for the strategic planning and direction of technology for CBS Sports and the CBS Sports Network. Coppa is a SMPTE Fellow and an active participant in industry standards groups.
